These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, energy supply services, and any other related services offered by PowerVolt UK Ltd. ("PowerVolt," "we," "our," or "us").
By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Account Registration and Service Activation

2.2 Service Activation
When you sign up for our energy supply services, we will guide you through the process of switching your energy supply to PowerVolt. This may include providing additional information, meter readings, and documentation.
2.3 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use our services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
3. Energy Supply Services
3.1 Service Description
PowerVolt provides electricity and gas supply services to residential and business customers in the United Kingdom. The specific services available to you will depend on your location, property type, and other factors.
3.2 Service Plans
We offer various energy plans with different rates, terms, and features. The specific details of your plan, including pricing, term length, and any special features, will be provided to you during the sign-up process.
3.3 Service Changes
We may modify our services from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes to your service or plan as required by applicable law.
4. Billing and Payment
4.1 Billing Cycles
You will be billed for your energy usage according to the billing cycle specified in your plan. Typically, bills are issued monthly or quarterly.
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept various payment methods, including direct debit, bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and other methods as specified on our website or in your service agreement.
4.3 Late Payments
Payments are due by the date specified on your bill. Late payments may incur additional charges and may affect your credit rating. If you anticipate difficulty in making a payment, please contact our customer service as soon as possible to discuss payment arrangements.
4.4 Disputed Bills
If you believe there is an error on your bill, please contact our customer service within 14 days of receiving the bill. You remain obligated to pay the undisputed portion of your bill while the disputed portion is being investigated.
5. Meters and Equipment
5.1 Meter Readings
You are responsible for providing regular meter readings unless you have a smart meter that automatically transmits readings. Accurate meter readings ensure that your bills reflect your actual usage.
5.2 Smart Meters
We may offer to install smart meters at your property. Smart meters provide automatic readings and can help you monitor and manage your energy usage more effectively.
5.3 Equipment Maintenance
You are responsible for maintaining the safety and proper functioning of your energy-consuming equipment and appliances. PowerVolt is not responsible for damages caused by faulty equipment on your property.
6. Access to Property
You agree to provide safe and unrestricted access to your property for meter readings, equipment maintenance, and service disconnection or reconnection as necessary. We will provide reasonable notice before requiring access to your property except in emergencies.
7. Term and Termination
7.1 Term
The term of your service agreement will be specified in your plan details. Some plans have fixed terms, while others are ongoing until terminated.
7.2 Termination by You
You may terminate your service agreement according to the terms of your specific plan. Most plans require a notice period, and early termination of fixed-term plans may incur fees.
7.3 Termination by PowerVolt
We may terminate your service agreement if you breach these Terms, fail to pay your bills, or for other reasons as permitted by applicable law. We will provide notice of termination as required by regulations.
7.4 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, you remain responsible for paying all outstanding charges incurred during the service period. We will provide a final bill based on your final meter reading.
8. Limitations of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, POWERVOLT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICES.
Our total liability to you for any damages arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PowerVolt in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.
These limitations do not apply to liabilities that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Dispute Resolution
9.1 Initial Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute regarding our services, please contact our customer service department first. We will attempt to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.
9.2 Escalation
If our customer service team cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may escalate the matter according to our complaints procedure, which is available on our website.
9.3 External Resolution
If we cannot resolve your complaint after following our complaints procedure, you may refer the matter to the Energy Ombudsman, an independent body that resolves disputes between energy companies and their customers.
10. General Provisions
10.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any service-specific terms and your plan details, constitute the entire agreement between you and PowerVolt regarding your use of our services.
10.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
10.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of such right or provision.
10.4 Amendments
We may amend these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes and, where required by law, obtain your consent. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the amended Terms.
10.5 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
