You are responsible for providing regular meter readings unless you have a smart meter that automatically transmits readings. Accurate meter readings ensure that your bills reflect your actual usage.

5.2 Smart Meters

We may offer to install smart meters at your property. Smart meters provide automatic readings and can help you monitor and manage your energy usage more effectively.

You are responsible for maintaining the safety and proper functioning of your energy-consuming equipment and appliances. PowerVolt is not responsible for damages caused by faulty equipment on your property.

6. Access to Property

You agree to provide safe and unrestricted access to your property for meter readings, equipment maintenance, and service disconnection or reconnection as necessary. We will provide reasonable notice before requiring access to your property except in emergencies.

7. Term and Termination

7.1 Term

The term of your service agreement will be specified in your plan details. Some plans have fixed terms, while others are ongoing until terminated.

You may terminate your service agreement according to the terms of your specific plan. Most plans require a notice period, and early termination of fixed-term plans may incur fees.

7.3 Termination by PowerVolt

We may terminate your service agreement if you breach these Terms, fail to pay your bills, or for other reasons as permitted by applicable law. We will provide notice of termination as required by regulations.

7.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, you remain responsible for paying all outstanding charges incurred during the service period. We will provide a final bill based on your final meter reading.
